My Google Business Page for the Win!
October 26, 2022- Notary Blog

I've been steadily working on my Google Business Page and my Notary website every evening, I haven't put a ton of effort into it really..

Just about a half hour total every evening is all that I've been doing.

I took a Google My Business class a couple of months ago and I really wish I had taken it more seriously back then.

The #1 actionable advice that our teacher gave us was to work on it every few days, even if it was for a few minutes because GMB pages get ranked higher if you are consistent about adding content to it.

I shrugged and went on with my life.

Big mistake, BIG.

I'm re-thinking how important my Google Business Page is for my biz..

Now that everything has slowed down in the mortage industry, I have a lot more time to tool around with things like my Notary website and my Google Business Page.

I literally started working on my Google Business Page last week.

I'm amazed by how quickly this has brought me a result.

Today was a victory for me:

I received three phone calls about Notary Services and I was able to book one and complete it today.

It may not seem like much but to me, that's huge.

Especially since I was able to also receive a 5 Star review from the appointment and that is just priceless!

In addition to this General Notary appointment,
I had two appointments today that paid $270 total.

Pretty good and I'm happy with that for today.

Of course, I would love to get back to my Pandemic level of busy-ness where I was working 3-5 appointments a day but I believe I will get there again, it's just going to take a little more elbow grease going forward.

Speaking of which, I really need to start my marketing efforts, but find that I am pressed for time.

If you have any ideas on how I could better organize or use my time, feel free to contact me.

I really find myself wishing that I was a vampire like one of the Cullens in Twilight so that I could stay up all night working on my marketing , websites and GMB.

Come on, wouldn't that be amazing?

Ok, ok maybe not.

Sadly, I do need SOME sleep, and I also need and desire to spend time with my family,

One more thing that happened today....

..... was that one  of the Field Inspection companies that I applied to in the last few weeks have started to offer me consistent work.

One of the companies offered me over 40 -$60 gigs spread out all over the city.

So, if I did all of them, I would make $2400...

The problem is that I don't have the time and I really don't want to drive all over the city, but I have to admit that it is encouraging to know that this type of work is out there.

I'll tell you something that is a little embarassing.

I took a job one of these companies offered me the other day that paid a measley $8.00.

The reason that I took it is because I've been in the gig economy long enough to know how these companies work.

These low paying gigs are a sort of test to see a few things:

Whether you are a person of your word when you say you will take on a gig.

Whether it is done in a timely manner.

Whether it's done correctly and thus it becomes apparent that you are detail oriented and will do the job right.

Within one day of doing that one $8 gig for Trendsource, they are now offering me exterior property inspections and the other $60 gigs that I was writing about earlier.

Just something I thought I would mention.

Today was a good day !
