Admittedly, I don't know if someone like, my husband, for example, could work in the area of technical support. It takes a certain, shall we say, saintly amount of patience to help those of us technically challenged folks ( I am including myself in this group!).
Not that my wonderful, dear husband doesn't have a saintly amount of patience in other areas, it's just that for some reason, our home computer just knows how to push his buttons!

Ok good. Here's some information on this work at home position:
This company offers legitimate work at home positions for those who are more, shall we say, technically inclined.
(And even if you are not technically inclined, that does not mean that you can't apply! Go for it and play up all of your best assets on your application, you'll be surprised how far selling yourself on your application will take you!)
From what I understand, the only fee you will be responsible for in the hiring process is the fee for a background check that will need to be run. Those typically run anywhere from $45-$ 75. Don't let that scare you off, again this is legit work at home company.
Ok, so for a little more on this company:
Accolade Support hires independent contractors who can do phone work from home in the area of customer service and sales.
Since you will work as an independent contractor, you will be responsible for withholding monies, setting them aside for state and federal taxes.
Keep in mind that you will not be able to receive medical, dental and life insurance benefits through this company.
The work appears to be temporary however there is a chance to be hired on permanently based on your performance and reliability.
The
job usually entails doing technical support, so you can expect that you
will be troubleshooting; and providing software support for customers.
The requirements are similar to what most home-based companies require:
A Home based landline ( no cell phones) based out of the U.S.
A corded phone phone with a headset (These may be difficult to find, I recommend looking at Amazon or you can always try Office Supply Stores as well)
A computer with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
A hardwired DSL or Cable modem ( no wireless)
A quiet working environment ( no barking dogs or crying children able to be heard in the background).
The company says that pay is based off of an hourly base pay plus a per minute pay rate with the possibility of making up to $9.00 per hour.
