General Transcription jobs with legitimate companies can be hard to come by, especially if you are looking to do this type of work from the comfort of your own home.
One company that has been around for a while and has a great reputation for general transcription jobs is Task Transcription.
Task Transcription has been providing transcription services to doctors and law firms since 1998.
The company hires workers to perform general or legal transcription jobs only, although, if you have experience in medical transcription, that is a plus. The reason for this is that they do work with many doctors, although they do not technically offer medical transcription.
The work will include transcribing letters and reports for attorneys who are working with the CAWC (California Workers compensation).
Working for Task, you will work as an independent contractor from the comfort of your own home!
For jobs with Task Transcription there are certain requirements:
A minimum of 3 years transcription experience. (However, I have heard it mentioned that no experience is needed, so my suggestion is to apply, even if you have little to no experience, you may be pleasantly surprised!)
Legal experience is a plus but not required.
Availability to transcribe a minimum amount of 4 hours a day (or one audio hour a day) 5 days a week.
Must live within the United States
A foot pedal is required.
